ESCUELA ARGENTINA GENERAL BELGRANO

CABA, 29 de abril de  2019.-

Estimadas Familias:

                                     Ante la posibilidad del paro de transportes  del día de mañana, la escuela mantendrá, como siempre, abiertas sus puertas. Sin embargo, tiene la obligación de plantear a los padres que observa insalvables dificultades para funcionar  como lo hace habitualmente dado que la falta de transporte nos impide  contar con el personal necesario. Es muy mínimo y por lo tanto insuficiente el número de personas que viven en nuestras inmediaciones y se comprometen a llegar caminando. Son las únicas con las  que  contaremos. El comedor, por lo tanto, no  podrá funcionar. Tampoco lo hará el transporte escolar y el Campo de Deportes ya nos notificó que permanecerá cerrado, motivos por los cuales ese día no se computará inasistencia.  Somos conscientes de las dificultades que estas circunstancias provocarán a los padres, pero sabemos de la comprensión  de las familias y tenemos la esperanza de que el conflicto se solucione y el mañana   sea un día normal de clases. Hello everybody!
In first form, we've been working on values as we work on our current unit called "pets and animals". This is why we came up with the idea of making a poster with the phrase "IN THIS CLASS WE ALL SWIM TOGETHER" with our names on it.

We are working on the alphabet as well! We love poems and chants!

4th form

4th form students have learnt to tell the time. In these pictures we can see them playing a game to practise telling the time and the Present Simple Tense. They had to throw a die and move a token. On their way to the end of the game, and willing to be the winners, they had to give examples of daily routines of the different members of their families or friends and give details of the times when they perform these activities. They really enjoyed the game!!

6th form students have worked on Future Tenses and Modals Verbs.

They wrote some poems about Spring time and themselves. Hope you enjoy them!

6º English

The students have worked with simple past and past continuous and they have written Ghost Stories.

This month they are learning present continuous for future arrangement and how to write a Blog.

      Los alumnos de 7mo grado visitaron el Museo Nacional de Bellas Artes en compañía de nuestra guía de habla inglesa experta en arte.

Vieron numerosas pinturas de artistas argentinos, entre ellas: Sin pan y sin trabajo de Ernesto de la Cárcova, La sopa de los pobres de Giudici, La vuelta del malón de Angel Della Valle y El Improvisador de Emilio Pettoruti, como así también artistas de otros países.

     Disfrutaron mucho del arte y tuvieron la posibilidad de interactuar con la guía y expresar sus sensaciones y emociones.

          Los alumnos realizaron actividades anteriores y posteriores a la visita. 

3rd form has been working on numbers, addition and subtraction. Here is some of their amazing work!!

They have revised numbers, colours, prepositions and parts of the body! Look at their work! 

Hello everybody! Welcome to first form!

As we told you in our first meeting, a big part of our classes are based on songs, chants, games and oral activities.
The song we chose to share with you is a brand new song for first form! Its combination of fun lyrics and simple choreography allows our pupils to perform this song in several ways (quickly, slow and sometimes with different lyrics or movements) in order to gain fluency and to incorporate new sounds.
We had so much fun performing this that we decided to share the song with you!

4th form

4th form students participated in the play “Cinderella – 70 years after” to celebrate the 70th anniversary of the school.

In the following pictures, we can see the children during the rehearsals before the play, which took place on October 28th. And there are also some pictures on the day of the play.

They really enjoyed being part of ‘‘Cinderella – 70 years

after’’. It was a wonderful celebration !!!
